In general, easy to obtain stuff shouldn't be listed for hundreds of caps (my opinion), and might not be worth selling at all, especially if you have inventory storage issues. Some will call you greedy for listing something for 10,000 caps, but caps really become easy to obtain after awhile so. People will have many varied opinions on pricing. Pricing in the end is very much arbitrary, but still affected by the norms of the community. these should all be considered in vendor pricing at your camp. Rarity, grind, supply and demand, carry weight, charity to other players. If someone has done all the work for you to get the plan, it may be worth it to spend a ton of caps so that you don't have to go through the pain of obtaining them. As for pricing, the grind to get plans is a big factor. Also, if you have the plan to build an item, you don't have to store the physical item in your inventory. For me sometimes it is a kind of completionist thing or I have too many caps, but other times I actually want to use it.
